Canada entered WW1 far before the US. Canada entered WW2 far earlier than the US. At the end of WW2, Canada had the third largest Navy in the world. Our current military has been emasculated. We are beholden to the US for our sovereignty. We can’t even shoot down a Chinese spy balloon, with our 40 year old fighters. This isn’t about offensive capabilities (although Canada has dabbled in that numerous times…) this is about the second “D” in DND. When a country can’t control their borders, they lose their sovereignty.
